introducing...

hi! so while keyse is working away like a diligent citizen, i am lounging in bed on my second vacation in the last three weeks - shame on me! my time at home in florida has been wonderfully productive in a lot of ways, but now i'm excited to put some of it to work as a first-time guest blogger on the fabulous crocodile tears.

my name is adwoa; i have a handful of blogs, none of the four of which are updated nearly as regularly as keyse's. most of my content production goes into cultural commentary via facebook links (generally when i should be working). but in furnishing my apartment after my move to boston last summer, about half of the pieces have come from this website. i love it, and i'm honored to be able to contribute today! i'm a curvy girl, and try as i might i can't help but buy very curvy furniture. here, then, is a generous handful of my over-the-top finds from last night and this morning.

UM - set your sights to stun! sadly, the seller is aware of how amazing the piece is as well, and has priced it accordingly.
Danish Modern Tambour Door Rosewood Credenza

yesssssssss - see pics indeed!
Swank HAND MADE tiki bar + extras. (SEE PICS!) retro mod furniture - $600 (Lawrence, MA)

not entirely my style, but these could definitely stun.
Mid Century Modern chrome club chairs - $100

yes, these benches have been on craigslist since i moved to boston. but kudos to the seller for finally posting a new picture and ad instead of just renewing the old one :) in fairness, they're definitely cute pieces; i hope they sell soon.
Dining Booth - $150 (Central MA)

for you radio lovers: look how sweet!
Rare, vintage radio / phonograph (Groveland)

it may be a little bit embarrassing that i like this - please, before you judge me, keep in mind that i am on a wood-painting kick right now. imagine it with different hardware, painted teal and snuggling up to the built-in hutch in my kitchen...
Dresser - $100 (Randolph)

very cryptic, and i am guessing that if you have to ask you can't afford it - but i like the style
Dorothy Draper Espana Chest (South Shore)

a couple sets of chairs and a cabinet from the seller of that tambour piece above, who appears to be amassing money to flee the country by selling off his or her entire collection of teak artifacts to the (very highest) bidder:

One of a kind rosewood Danish modern Corner Cabinet

Four Stunning Danish Modern Teak Dining Kai Kristiansen Dining Chairs

Stunning Set of Six Danish Modern Teak Dining Chairs (Somerville)

slightly more affordable danish modern:
Danish modern Side Table - $20 (Dedham)

i love this. (and think of it painted! now we are cooking with gas)
Mid Century Modern Liquor Cabinet - $150 (Taunton Ma)

good old cambridge 911. if you're ever intrigued by one of this guy's pieces and want to see it in person, he has a booth on the second floor of the cambridge antique market. it's a good idea to stop by and browse; even if you don't find anything in his space, the CAM is amazing and it's hard to leave without coveting at least one piece.
ANTIQUE FURNITURE: Heywood Wakefield Corner Bookcase Shelf Champagne - $275 (Cambridge 911)

i like its little feet; they remind me of the ottoman/puppy from beauty and the beast
Needlepoint & Pettitpoint Foot Stool - $18 (Wakefield - Delivery possible)

what a handsome piece!
Solid Mahogany Tall Bureau With Bird's Eye Maple Inlay - $125 (Medfield)

hmm. good price for two... i am trying to decide if i need one in my entryway or bedroom?
2 sputnik light fixtures - $300 (North Andover)

ooh, no fooling! things like this make me wish i had a ton of space - sigh.
***&&&** Fabulous 36 Drawer ANTIQUE APOTHECARY CHEST ***&& - $1200

it's been lovely; thanks, keyse! i hope you guys enjoyed this, and hopefully someone finds at least one great piece to put in his or her own home! and now, if you'll excuse me, i'm off to grab my mom's car and head back to sarasota for the beach.

xxo,
adwoa
